NAME OF THE POST : Scientist ‘C’, General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial Scientific and Technical)

SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 10,000-325-15,200

NO. OF VACANCIES : Three (subject to change)

PERIOD OF DEPUTATION : One year (likely to be extended, subject to a maximum period of 4 years)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION :

1. Scientists or Technologist working in the Central/State Governments/Universities/ recognized Research Institutions/Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations India or abroad

1. holding analogous posts; or
2. with 5 years regular service in posts in the scale of Rs. 8,000-13,500 or equivalent

2. Masters’ Degree in Science/Mathematics/Statistics or in any required subject or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognised university or equivalent.
   
3. 4 year’s of experience in Research and Development/Industrial/Academic Institution and/or Science and Technology Organisation

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION :

Doctorate Degree in relevant subject or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology of a recognised university or equivalent

GENERAL :

1. The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organisation/Department of the Central Govt. shall ordinarily not exceed four years.
   
2. The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date for receipt for applications.
   
3. The terms and conditions of appointment will be in accordance with the Department of Personnel & Training’s O.M. NO. 2/29/91-Estt. (Pay.II) dated 5^th January, 1994 as amended from time to time.
   

4. The applications of eligible and willing officers whose services can be spared may be forwarded in the proforma through proper channel to Shri Pradeep Kumar, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Technology Bhawan, New Mehrauli Road, New Delhi-110016 within 60 days from the date of issue of this circular.
   

5. The application should be accompanied by photocopies of ACRs for the last 5 years, duly attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent. While forwarding the application, the cadre clearance, integrity certificate, certificate to the effect that particulars given by the officer are correct and that no disciplinary/vigilance case is either pending or contemplated against the applicant, given at the end of the Proforma, may also be given.
   

6. The applications which are incomplete in any respect or not accompanied by the required documents or the applications received after the last date prescribed will not be entertained.
