Project Title: Defining the Role of Government in Trans-nationalization Efforts of Indian SMEs
Objectives and Scope
To study and assess the support measures required by industries in the technology intensive manufacturing sectors such as drugs and pharma, speciality chemicals, biotechnology, auto-components, electronics hardware, renewable energy etc. to expand their operations globally or become trans-national corporations.
To identify specific areas where intervention of government [in particular DSIR (DSIR Brief at Annexure)] would be useful;
To formulate a scheme in the 11th Plan aimed at facilitating trans-nationalization of SMEs.
Duration
3 Months (maximum)
Output
A Report containing the methodology followed; analysis of research; findings and recommendations; and profiles of companies which are aspiring to become trans-national or in other words, the target beneficiaries of the proposed 11th Plan scheme.
