wELDING TORCHES, ELECTRODES AND ACCESSORIES

Technology/Process Description:

Mippaloy is an integrated torch manufacturer, manufacturing all spares & accessories for torches. These torches are of improved design, incorporating revolutionary features like screw-less & ergonomic handles, light weight construction, ensuring that the welder has minimum fatigue during welding, thus assuring greater productivity.

Technology/Product Specifications:

Product 1: MIG WELDING TORCHES AND CONTACT TIPS

Mipalloy manufactures contact tips out of chromium zirchromium copper drawn tubes having hardness of 83’ R’B, as a result of this high hardness levels and higher annealing temperatures (525o C), these contact tips (in comparison to commercially available copper contact tips) will:

·          Have a very good life

·          Reduce wire sticking

·          Reduce wire wandering

·          Reduce “hole” enlargement or contraction during service

.

Availability of various sizes: -

Contact tips are available in various sizes depending upon the requirement of the end user. The sizes that are available are: -

·          0.8 mm,

·          mm,

·          1.2 mm,

·          1.6 mm,

·          mm,

·          2.4 mm wires.

These contact tips are available in 6 mm, 8 mm, and 10 mm outer diameter, with threading, length, shapes or type to suit customer’s drawings or samples.

product 2: SPOT WELDING ELECTRODES

Mipalloy manufactures a large variety of Spot / Projection & Butt welding electrodes to meet diverse needs of the welder. Mipalloy manufactures fully machined electrodes in Chromium Copper, Chromium Zirconium Copper, Beryllium Copper, Tungsten Copper, and Tungsten & Molybdenum. Mipalloy also manufacture composite spot welding electrodes with refractory tips of Tungsten or Molybdenum Silver brazed on to Chromium Copper shanks.

product 3: SEAM WELDER WHEELS

Mipalloy manufactures forged & fully heat treated seam welder wheels in Mipalloy3*, Mipalloy 3ZR**. Wheels are made in varying thickness from 2” diameter to 28” diameter in proof machined condition or fully machined ready to use. Mipalloy is the largest exporter of seam welder wheels in proof machined & finish machined condition in India

Seam welding electrodes perform three important functions in all resistance welding operations.

1.       They conduct the welding current to work.

2.       They transmit the proper electrode pressure or force to the work in order to produce satisfactory weld.

3.       They dissipate heat from the weld zone.

Mipalloy wheels guarantee higher hardness & electrical conductivity resulting in superior performance. Most common sizes are available off the shelf. Most sizes considered non standard are surprisingly available off the shelf at Mipalloy.

Usage: -

During seam welding operations the electrodes are subjected to stresses of considerable magnitude. They must withstand these stresses at elevated temperatures without excessive deformation. This is because the current must be localized within a fixed area. The transmitted electrode force not only forges the heated work pieces together, but also concentrates the welding current to localized area.

Seam welding electrodes are generally in the form of wheels and are referred to as seam welding wheels or rolls. An exception to this is when a flat anvil or mandrel is used on one side with the opposite side being a wheel on a traveling head. Mipalloy essentially manufactures seam welding wheels in Mipalloy3 and Mipalloy3ZR. However Mipalloy100 wheels are available on request. For best results and to ensure lower down times seam welder shafts & housings must be made of Mipalloy3. Mipalloy supplies seam welder wheels in proof machined & fully machined condition. All seam welding wheels are manufactured out of individually forged blanks.
