Technology/Process Description:
Featuring unique
automated retraction technology, the FuturaTM line of safety
scalpels offers one-handed safety activation away from the blade. This protects
the caregiver from accidental injury and exposure to infectious disease during
surgical procedures. It is designed to inhibit unprotected,
"in-between" blade positions. The patented spring activated mechanism
provides user control to access or hide the blade. A safe alternative to
traditional OR blades, these scalpels are versatile for diverse floor use
applications

FUTURA SAFETY SCALPEL
The Safety Scalpel by Futura reduces
the exposed blade accidents. It is safe, compact, easy to use, automated
retracting scalpel. The precision sharpened blades provide for clean incisions.
This scalpel is available in multiple blade sizes to accommodate various
surgical applications. The scalpels are colour coded for blade recognition.
