  2. To develop technological capabilities of technical personnel in national Labs. / Institutions and Industry
  3. To promote Technology Development and Management in Industry
  4. To help individual innovators promote original ideas and translate into workable processes / prototypes.
  5. To promote association of National Labs. And national Institutes with industrial projects for Technology Development
  6. To give wider publicity to the initiatives of the Govt. through the programs and the schemes of the department.

STANDARDS  

  1. To promptly respond to public enquiries received and give all possible help in solving the problem presented within the Allocation of Business for the Department.
  2. To respond to all enquiries with respect to project funding promptly and send formats as applicable and other information in this regard within a fortnight.
  3. All efforts are made to take a final decision on proposals received by the department and listed below, within the time frame shown against each.

Registration of Public Funded Research Institutions and others for availing custom and central excise duty exemption on purchase on procurement for research

Support in the areas of Consultancy capabilities, clinics, interaction meets etc.

Weighted tax deduction facilities to approved in-house R&D centers under Section 35(2AB) of IT Act 1961

  1. To attend to the grievances within a fortnight.
